LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — A suspect is facing several charges, including attempted murder, after allegedly crashing a car into a Las Vegas Dollar Tree store and attacking a woman with a knife.
Arrest and court records show Shawn Handley, 45, was booked on suspicion of 10 counts for Monday's incident near Craig Road and Decatur Boulevard.
His first court appearance is scheduled for Tuesday afternoon.
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police alleged that Handley was in a domestic dispute with someone when he drove his car through the front doors of the store.
He got out of the car and allegedly began to attack a woman with a knife when another person opened fire on him.
Police arrested Handley and detained the shooter. The victim was receiving medical treatment at a nearby hospital.
No other details were disclosed.
